    ​The Ministry of Tourism reviews attracting investment in the Eastern Chamber branch in Jubail Governorate


    Yesterday, Sunday, August 1, 2021, the Asharqia Chamber represented by the Business Council in its branch in Jubail, hosted the Director of Investor Relations at the Ministry of Tourism, Abdul Majeed Abdulmohsen Al-Nasser, who reviewed the most important changes in the tourism sector in line with the Kingdom’s vision 2030, in addition to the most prominent facilities provided to investors in the sector following the National Tourism Strategy.

    During the meeting, which was moderated by Council Chairman Mubarak Al-Mishal and attended by several investors, Nasser said that tourism is one of the most growing economic sectors in the world, and contributes to creating job opportunities, growth, and economic diversification, and thus is an essential part of the Kingdom's vision, and this includes attracting 100 million visitors annually. By 2030, increasing the contribution of tourism to the GDP to 10 percent, and creating one million jobs in the tourism sector.

    Al-Nasser stressed that Jubail Industrial City comes within the ministry’s strategy to present it as an important destination for its long industrial history, the beauty of its waterfront, and its position in the region as an industrial destination and the number of its visitors, for there to be harmonization between the industrial and tourism destination until a complete system for the city is built.

    Al-Nasser indicated in this regard that the Investment Attracting Agency at the Ministry of Tourism is keen to support investors, develop a strategy to attract them, communicate with them, work to implement the general strategy for the development of national tourism, facilitate communication between investors and the ministry, provide all necessary support to investors, follow up with them and enable them to obtain all technical information about Tourism investment opportunities, and the continuous development of investment incentives in the tourism sector in coordination with the relevant authorities, discussing ways to provide them and encouraging and motivating local and foreign investors to enter the tourism sector and invest in it.

    Al-Nasser concluded that the private sector is the basis for tourism development and the development of the local tourism system. We are working with investors to fill the voids in the tourism market, and this meeting is an extension of previous meetings held by the Investment Attraction Agency and will continue with investors in Jubail in particular and the eastern region in general.​
